The TLC Meter is ideal for profiling conductivity and/or temperature in
wells and open water and for salt-water intrusion investigations. The
TLC uses an ‘intelligent’ conductivity sensor with platinum electrodes.
The sensor is attached to Solinst flat-tape, accurately marked every
1/100 ft to 5,000 ppm range. The conductivity range is from 0-80,000
µS/cm. Conductivity and temperature measurements are displayed on a
rotating LCD screen on the face of the reel.

Measuring the depth to water in a well has never been easier. Simply set
the probe on the vent hole, turn it on, and read the depth. There is
nothing to lower into the well, no wires, no tapes. Nothing to get hung
up. The probe generates a sound pulse which travels into the well going
around wires and pipes even bends in the pipe. The pulse bounces off the
water up to 2000 ft deep and returns to the probe allowing the Well
Sounder to calculate the depth based on the time it takes to hear the
echo.
